Role: Director of Public Relations and Marketing
Duration: 2 years
Solar Chapter is an Indonesian non-profit organization that functions as a medium for young people to contribute their resources such as skills, knowledge and effort to the underprivileged society using sustainable methods that can last for generations to come.
It was first established in 2017 and as a team, we have successfully fundraised more than $125,000 through CSR and crowdfunding initiatives for various projects in providing clean water access, education and community development.
Back in June 2020, I joined Solar Chapter as the Director of Public Relations and Marketing. My position allows me to fully implement what I know in user research, competitive analysis, and visual design.
I identified bottlenecks in our marketing process; as a result we optimized branding guidelines and SOPs.
A part of my task is to update our ongoing projects to our stakeholders, which includes sponsors, recurring donators, and our alumni network. Campaign Monitor and MailChimp are our main platforms for email marketing. I designed and wrote the emails from scratch based on our projects' update that we got from Solar Chapter's branches. I was honored to be given this task and work alongside incredible colleagues from different continents.
Along with 8 marketing teams from Solar Chapter's branches, we develop a plan together where each branch can creatively showcase their own projects on our shared social media. We continuously brainstorm, develop, and design all of our goals together, while posting autonomously by branch.
