Charging Endless Possibilities

Role: Product Designer

12 Months

AeonCharge is a pre-seed startup, working tirelessly to provide a single app for all EV Chargers. I was lucky enough to be a part of a growing team; although our numbers are limited, our dreams are not. I joined AeonCharge and immediately was diving into the world of EV, learning as fast as I could - since the startup environment needed someone who's capable of hitting the ground running, adaptable yet reliable in their work.

At AeonCharge, I worked with a Product Manager, Engineers and Analysts to produce an MVP during fundraising season.

Ideation & Research

Ideation Phase

The journey began with the ideation phase, where our team gathered to brainstorm ideas for a groundbreaking product. The vision was clear: design a single, user-friendly app that integrates seamlessly with various EV chargers, providing a unified experience for users. We aimed to simplify the entire charging process, from finding a charging station to making payments.

Research Phase

Following the ideation phase, we delved into extensive research to understand the current landscape of EV charging solutions. We conducted user interviews, studied competitor products, and analyzed market trends. Our goal was to identify pain points and opportunities that would guide us in creating a truly innovative solution.

Based on our research, our main focus is to create an app that is adhering to these target market and their behavior.

Design & Prototype

User Flow

Working from our research, we started to mapped out what users need in one single app. Our goal was to create a unified app with two main anchors:

Also to add supplementary menu, including onboarding and profile.

I always feel that working with structure will benefit how we can work in the upcoming process. It also serves as a guideline, where we can look back if we want to improve our product or maybe add some improvements in the future.

Wireframe

We turned our ideas into low fidelity wireframes. We reviewed what was necessary and what areas needed improvement. We poured a lot of our time into this step to make sure we had the finishing touches on the underlying UX before moving onto the visuals.
